What Terrasol is
Terrasol Beach Resort is a gated condominium resort on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas. It's not a hotel and it's not an all-inclusive. The units are privately owned condos, you stay in someone's actual home (or rental). Some owners live in them full-time. Others rent through curated companies like Terrasol Elite, which manages a collection of nine of the most attentively kept units on the property.
The setup gives you something most hotels can't: privacy, your own kitchen, your own balcony, your own pace. No buffet times. No wristbands. No upsell.
Where it sits
Geographically, Terrasol is in one of the best spots in Cabo:
- Playa Grande on one side, Grand Solmar on the other
- Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal steps away on the same Pacific beach
- Ten-minute walk to the Cabo San Lucas Marina, restaurants, water taxis, and El Arco tours
- Five-to-ten minute walk to downtown shops, art galleries, and Medano Beach
- Views toward Land's End and El Arco from many upper units
Most all-inclusive resorts in Cabo are out on the Tourist Corridor, a 20–30 minute drive from anything walkable. Terrasol is the rare Cabo resort where you don't need a car.
What's actually on the property
Honest list, no exaggeration:
- Two heated pools — one main pool with a swim-up bar and on-site restaurant, plus a quieter lap pool
- Swim-up bar restaurant at the main pool (casual fare, drinks, cocktails)
- Private Pacific beachfront — secluded, dramatic, perfect for sunset walks and whale spotting in season
- Fitness center — small but functional
- Gated community, 24/7 security
- On-site parking — $5 USD per day, one car per unit
- High-speed Wi-Fi in every unit (most include a Mexican phone line with free calls to the U.S. and Canada)
What's NOT on the property
Worth knowing in advance so you arrive without false expectations:
- No spa — for massages and treatments, the neighboring resorts have full spas a short walk away
- No fine-dining restaurant — just the casual swim-up bar restaurant. For nice dinners out, you walk to the Marina (10 minutes) where Cabo's best restaurants are
- No swimming in the ocean at Terrasol — the Pacific currents on this stretch are not safe. Pools handle the swimming, or walk 10 minutes to Medano Beach which is the safest swimming beach in Cabo
- No nightclub or entertainment programming — quiet evenings are part of the appeal
If you want a resort with daily entertainers, swim-up nightclubs, and unlimited buffet bracelets, an all-inclusive on the Corridor is a better fit. If you want a Cabo home base with privacy, beach views, and walkable access to everything that matters, Terrasol is the answer.
Why Terrasol Elite specifically
The resort has roughly 140 condos in total. Most are individually owned and rented through various agents and platforms. Terrasol Elite represents a curated collection of nine of the best-kept, most attentively managed units, with a real local team behind every booking. Lorraine and Monica are based in Cabo, answer the phone in real time, and know each condo personally.
Booking with Terrasol Elite means:
- The lowest available rate (no Airbnb / VRBO platform fees, see the math)
- A direct phone line to the local team
- Pre-arrival concierge, grocery stocking, airport transfers, sunset cruise booking, restaurant reservations
- Honest matching to the right condo for your trip (we won't put 8 people in a studio)
The simple version
Most Cabo trips end up being one of two things: nonstop activity, or total stillness. Terrasol is built for either, and especially for a mix. You can walk to the Marina for dinner, take a 6 a.m. water taxi to Lover's Beach, spend an afternoon at the pool, watch the sunset from your balcony, and never feel rushed. That's the appeal. Not the spa packages we don't have, the calendar of nothing-to-do-but-relax we do.
