Two condos for two, fifteen dollars a night apart. Is a bedroom door worth it?
Casa Carina (Unit 340) and Casa Amber (Unit 238) are the two entry-price condos in the Terrasol Elite collection. Both sleep 2. Both have Pacific Ocean views from a private balcony. Both are beautifully finished, and honestly, most couples would be happy in either.
They're $15 a night apart. Carina starts at $177, Amber at $162. That's the smallest gap between any two units we have, which makes this the most common shortlist we see from couples.
One real difference: Carina has a bedroom with a door. Amber is a studio. Here's whether that matters for your trip.
That's really the whole thing. Casa Carina has a separate bedroom. Casa Amber is a studio, where the king bed sits in the main living space.
For a three or four night trip, this genuinely does not matter. You're at the Marina, you're on a boat, you're at dinner. You come back, you sleep. Nobody has ever regretted booking Amber for a short romantic trip, and it's the best value in the collection.
For a week or longer, the door starts to matter. If one of you wakes up early and wants coffee and a laptop while the other sleeps in, a studio makes that awkward. In Carina, you close the door and the living room is a living room.
Carina is also on the top floor, which is rare here. No footsteps above you, and a higher sightline. And it has a genuinely odd perk: it faces two directions, so you get Pacific sunsets from the balcony and Marina and bay views from the bedroom.
A door between the bed and the laptop is worth $15 a night over two weeks. Carina also has the free phone line to the US and Canada, which is genuinely useful if you're taking calls, plus a dishwasher for when you stop eating out every night.
You'll barely be in the condo. Amber is the best value we offer, it has a Pacific-facing balcony with lounge chairs for sunsets, and it's $81 a night with code 50OFF through October 1, 2026. Put the difference toward dinner at the Marina.
Separate bedroom with a door, plus it's the top floor, so nobody is walking around above your head. If different sleep schedules have ever caused friction on a trip, this solves it for $15.
$162 is our lowest starting rate. You still get the gated resort, both heated pools, the swim-up bar, the private Pacific beach, and a ten-minute walk to the Marina. The resort experience is identical no matter which unit you book.
If you're weighing these two but part of you wants oceanfront, a fire pit, and a hydromassage tub, that's a different condo. Casa Amber vs Honeymoon Dream →
Both officially sleep 2. For three or more, look at Casa Ricardo (2 BR, sleeps 6). Going over the official count violates resort policy and triggers an extra-guest fee.
